Besides being able to control blood pressure, fruit for low blood also has many nutrients that are good for health. Blood pressure can also be more stable if the health condition is good. 

Hypotension or low blood pressure is when the blood pressure is less than 90/60 mmHg. This condition can be caused by various things, from dehydration to a lack of certain nutrients, such as folate. 

People with low blood pressure are recommended to change their lifestyle so that their blood pressure can return to normal. 1. Watermelon

Lack of fluids can cause the volume of blood in the body to decrease, resulting in a decrease in blood pressure. However, this can be overcome by consuming adequate fluids and eating fruits with high water content, one of which is watermelon. 

Watermelon contains 92% of its components and essential nutrients that are beneficial for health, such as vitamin A, vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium. 

2. Oranges 

Oranges are one of the fruit choices for low blood pressure because they contain high folate levels. Folate is one of the essential nutrients needed to produce red blood cells. 

The reason is that lack of red blood or anemia can trigger low blood pressure, so the consumption of oranges is believed to minimize hypotension. 

3. Bits 

As with oranges, beets also contain high folate, so their consumption can help control blood pressure. One cup or 136 grams of beetroot contains about 148 mcg of folate. So by consuming 1 cup of beets, your daily folate needs have been met by 37%.

4. Olives 

Olives are included in the group of fruits that can increase blood pressure, so they are suitable for consumption by people with low blood pressure. However, the benefits of olives come from high levels of sodium or salt. 

However, it should be noted that the consumption of olives should still be limited. This is because the consumption of high-salt foods in excess can make blood pressure soar, so the risk of causing hypertension or high blood pressure. 

5. Papaya 

Papaya also contains high enough folate. For example, 1 cup, or 140 grams of papaya, had about 53 mcg of folate. That way, the consumption of this fruit can meet the daily folate needs, which are suitable for controlling blood pressure. 

6. Strawberries 

People with low blood pressure need to increase their consumption of fruits that contain water and folate. Strawberries are one of the fruits with high enough water and folate, so their consumption can increase blood pressure. 

The water content in strawberries is 91%, while the folate content is around 69–170 mcg in every 100 grams of strawberries. 

As previously stated, low blood pressure can be caused by dehydration and insufficient intake of nutrients such as folate. So, fruits that can overcome low blood pressure are fruits that contain high water or folate. 

Other fruits rich in water, such as cantaloupe, melon, and peach, are also suitable for consumption by people with low blood pressure. Likewise, other folate-rich fruits include lemons, bananas, grapefruit, and limes. 

You can also use these fruits as another option to treat low blood pressure. In addition to consuming fruit for low blood pressure, you are encouraged to increase your consumption of foods containing vitamin B12, such as eggs, meat, milk, and processed products. 

Meanwhile, caffeinated drinks or alcoholic beverages must be limited to prevent or reduce symptoms of low blood pressure.
